Wireless Radio Intercom Systems for All Residential Properties

Voice
- An End to Wiring Problems -
Wireless radio intercoms are essentially modified two-way radios. They are (mostly) designed to accommodate hands free talk at the gate station. Users have to press a “press to talk (PTT)” button on the internal handset when talking.

There are limitations with respect to the talking range. Wireless radio intercoms systems have a talking range of 100 meter in built-up areas; it may extend to 350 meters where obstacles like trees and other buildings are limited. There are speciality systems available where inter-communication is required for up to two kilometres.

The effective talking range can be increased by adding a long range antenna to the gate station.

Sound quality and the talk range can be improved by having an antenna fitted to an individual handset.  Unfortunately, this restricts the mobility as this configuration ties the handset down to its antenna.

Long Range Wireless Radio Intercom System
IDEAL for Security use, Factories, Farms, Hotels, Events & Heavy Duty use
500 to 2000 Meter Long Range Wireless Intercom
Wireless Gate Station
The gate station is enclosed in a metal rain-proof housing. The audio is loud and clear.

The Long Range Radio Intercom has a talk range of 500m in built-up areas; and up to two kilometres in open terrain.

The gate station operates on 12volt. A power supply is supplied with the kit, but power can be taken from the gate motor if available. It has a rechargeable back-up battery; the intercom will work during power failures.
Long Range Wireless Intercom Handset
The handset offers crystal clear loud audio quality. It is ultra compact and lightweight; with a high impact casing making it ideal for very robust environments.
The intercom operates very similar to a two way radio. The visitor at the gate has to push the talk button when talking; the same applies to the mobile internal hand-held unit.

Radio signal strength is reduced by metal and concrete enclosures.

When the antenna is placed outside these structures, signal range just about doubles with a significant improvement in clarity.

This antenna kit is supplied with a vehicle adapter  making it even more versatile.
Opening the Electronic Gate
The gate is not opened from the intercom handset; this is possible with a long range remote control.

For this we recommend using a long-range Receiver and transmitter.
Long-range Radio Receiver
The receiver is housed in a weatherproof housing; allowing for it to be mounted outdoors.

It incorporates secure Code-Hopping Encryption.

You’ll need a 12- or 24 volt power input; this is typically available from the intercom’s power supply or from the gate motor.
Hand-held Radio Transmitter
Transmitters are available with one, two, four or six buttons.

The rubber buttons are easy to press and click positively.

The LED flashes when there is a low battery condition. The batteries last about 2 years under normal use before having to be replaced.
Two button Wireless Radio Intercom System
- Ideal for Residential Homes -

This Wireless Radio Intercom is equipped with two gate station buttons. Save on back-breaking work to get cables between the house and the gate. It is a great alternative where existing cables no longer works.

Radio intercoms are subject to external radio interference  A great alternative to conventional adio is a Wireless Digital Intercom.
How it works
A visitor will press the required (E.g. House or Staff) button on the rain-proof gate station. Audio is automatic from the gate station eliminating the need for a visitor to push any buttons to talk.

You are not limited by the number of handsets. The handsets are PTT (push to talk).  The occupant therefore has to push a talk button on the handset to communicate with the gate station.

  • Trigger the gate from the handsets.
  • All handsets configured to a particular call button will be able to inter-communicate.
  • The handsets are portable, meaning you can carry it with you; even to the washing line or pool.

There is no need for cables between the gate station and the units. However, minimal cabling to supply power to the gate station is required. There may also be a need for cable between the gate station and the gate motor (or electric lock) if they have to be opened from the handsets. It makes installation a breeze.

The system comes standard with a rechargeable battery back-up.

The residents do not pay any call charges; making this a low cost maintenance system.

Multi-user wireless Radio Intercom System
- Ideal for Residential Complexes -

This Wireless Radio Intercom is configured to accommodate up to 80 units. It is a great alternative where it is difficult to have regular intercom cables installed.  However, radio intercoms are subject to external radio interference.

To minimise the risk of you acquiring a system that may not work properly due to external radio interference, we recommend a test period of between one and two weeks. A limited number of handsets will be distributed among the users for testing. A full roll-out will only commence after you are satisfied with the results.
